About Stoqi
“The average household throws away €600 worth of food per year”
We can reduce this, with Stoqi.
Stoqi is a food inventory app designed by a Dutch creative whose idea for the app arose from practical experiences and observations: products in storage drawers that had been neglected for a long time and whose expiry date was overlooked.
What a waste; throwing them away unused. That had to be changed.
Or those countless times products were bought at the store(s) because you thought you didn’t have them left. Only to discover upon arriving home that you actually had plenty. That, too, could be done differently.
It called for a solution: Stoqi.
And you can now use this digital assistant that keeps track of your edible products and helps you getting insights in your stock. Saving together and making the world a little better.

Reducing food waste, one pantry at a time
Let’s make the world a little better together. Every step counts.
Together, we help reduce waste.
Nice and sustainable without having to do much.
Let the Stoqi app be your assistant.
If you are aware of what you can still consume and what you buy,
you can convince others to do the same.
With a bit of help from Stoqi 🙂
Transparent. Honest.
This is what Stoqi stands for:
Local, your data
Stoqi is a privacy-first pantry tracking app. Your food inventory is stored entirely on your device: no account required, no ads, no data shared with third parties. You decide what data you share, so if you optionally sync your inventory and shopping list with a household member or relative, you are in full control.
Objective, simple, ad-free
Saving money starts with a low-entry app that helps you. Stoqi is free to download from the Google Play Store. There is no revenue model behind it, not even based on data. But a donation to the creator is appreciated 🙂 Only a small purchase is needed from the Apple App Store to make use of the iOS app. Stoqi has no in-app purchases, is not sponsored, and does not show advertisements.
No registration needed
After installing the app, you can immediately start adding products or creating your shopping list; no registration, no login, no profile.
With version 2.0, Stoqi takes the next step for shared households. Partners, families, and roommates can now share one pantry and optionally a shared shopping list across multiple phones. A 6-digit invite code is all that’s needed to connect devices. From that moment on, Stoqi handles synchronization automatically, including when a device was offline. No account, no email address, no cloud required unless you want it. Your data stays local by default; sync is always opt-in.
Permissions on your smartphone: camera and notifications
Stoqi asks for permission to use your camera to use the barcode scanner and date scanner or to allow you to take a photo of the product. Additionally, you must give permission for the Stoqi app to send notifications, so that you receive an alert when a product is nearing its expiration date. That is all.
Personal
Stoqi is your helper for keeping track of your stock and reminding you of products that are about to expire. You indicate your preferences via the settings. You decide when notifications are sent. You choose the light or dark theme. You can add categories yourself. You set the stores you’re doing your groceries.
It’s all about simplicity
In the Stoqi app, you get started right away. Efficient product addition with ease. Want to quickly add the product name, brand, and photo? Use the barcode scanner and date scanner. Fill your shopping list? Simply on the page itself or via My stock. Add products you just collected from your shopping list (optionally across multiple stores) to your inventory? Easy.
About appical
Stoqi is an app from appical. Next to Stoqi, appical also created the SPICE allergen scanner app, both for Android and iOS. One creator, multiple apps.
An individual based in the Netherlands who likes creating apps in his spare time. A guy who wants to make his contribution to the world by offering lightweight, yet sophisticated apps free of charge.
Helping you out with struggles in daily life that can be eased by the use of a dedicated mobile app. You’ve got an issue or something an app might solve? Let me know.
The philosophy behind all appical apps is simplicity, elegance and freedom. Your data, your privacy, your choice. That means my apps do not require subscriptions, don’t have additional payments, no advertisements, no sharing of data with 3rd parties. These apps like Stoqi and SPICE have the fundamentals of keeping your data local. You decide if you want to share it with others.
Stoqi and SPICE are free on Android, and only cost a one-time payment of €0,99 in the Apple App Store for the iOS version. That is because I am spending quite some effort to create these apps, and I want to level out the costs. Nothing more, nothing less.
Another aim of appical apps is to provide the best user experience possible. Good UX makes an app your app. If you have ideas or suggestions to improve your experience, please let me know!

I already got it. Hope you get it. Pun intended 😉
